I spent 4 whole days in Goa and explored some beautiful beaches including a few remote ones. From eating at some popular restaurants to experiencing breathtaking sunsets, this Goa trip was truly no match to the previous ones I took! This travel guide is your roadmap to planning the perfect Goa trip.

Beaches to visit

Baga Beach

Baga Beach feels different in the monsoon. The crowds disappear. The shoreline looks wider and quieter. I walk along the wet sand as waves crash with force. The sea looks wild and restless. It demands respect.

The usual buzz of Baga slows down. The music softens. The lights feel warmer. I notice small details I would usually miss. The rhythm of rain takes over the beach. It feels raw and honest.

Baga in the monsoon is not about parties. It is about stillness. It is about watching, listening, and just being.

Arambol Beach

Arambol Beach

Arambol Beach feels raw and untouched in the monsoon. The crowds thin out quickly. The shoreline looks vast and open. Waves crash in a steady rhythm. The sky shifts between grey and soft blue tones.

The usual buzz fades away here. Small cafés open slowly. The wind and rain take over the soundscape. The beach feels calmer and more grounded. It invites a slower pace.

The surrounding areas turn lush and vibrant. Paths near the cliffs look greener after every shower. The air feels cooler and cleaner. Every corner feels fresh and quiet.

Querim Beach or Keri Beach (Hidden Gem)

Querim Beach feels secluded and serene during the monsoon. The long stretch of sand looks almost untouched. The sea appears powerful and deep. Waves roll in with a steady force. The sky often stays overcast and dramatic.

The quiet stands out here. There are very few people around. The usual beach noise fades away. The sound of wind and waves takes over. It creates a calm and almost meditative setting.

The surrounding landscape turns lush green. The nearby river and hills look fuller after the rains. The air feels fresh and cool. Everything appears more vibrant.

The surrounding greenery looks richer after the rain. The air feels fresh and slightly cool. The entire stretch feels clean and untouched.

Palolem Beach

Palolem Beach feels softer and quieter in the monsoon. The crescent-shaped shoreline looks calm and almost empty. The sea turns deeper in color. Waves move in a steady, gentle rhythm. The sky often stays cloudy and muted.

The usual liveliness slows down here. Beach huts shut or remain partly open. The sound of rain and waves takes over. The beach feels peaceful and unhurried.

The surrounding palm trees look lush and vibrant. The air feels fresh and cool after every shower. The entire setting feels clean and refreshed.

Pebble Beach

Cabo de Rama Fort hides a rugged pebble beach that feels raw in the monsoon. The descent to the shore looks steep and dramatic. The coastline stands out with dark rocks and scattered pebbles. The sea appears deep and powerful. Waves crash with a sharp, echoing sound.

The surroundings turn greener with the rain. The air feels fresh and slightly misty. Every element looks more defined and vivid.

Pebble Beach in the monsoon is not about comfort. It is about contrast. It offers a more rugged and offbeat coastal experience.

Things to do other than beach hopping

Cabo Da Rama Fort

Cabo de Rama Fort feels dramatic and windswept in the monsoon. The fort stands tall against dark, cloudy skies. The sea stretches endlessly on one side. Waves crash against the cliffs below. The views feel intense and powerful.

The pathways inside the fort turn lush and green. Grass grows over old stone walls. The ruins look more alive in the rain. The air feels cool and fresh. Mist often rolls in and softens the landscape.

Boat rides in Mangroves

One off beat experience I would highly recommend during the monsoon season is the boat rides to see the beautiful mangroves near Palolem Beach.

A mangrove boat ride near Palolem Beach feels calm and immersive in the monsoon. The backwaters look fuller after the rains. The water moves slowly through dense green mangroves. The surroundings feel quiet and untouched.

Apart from the mangroves you can also see eagle feeding and some exotic bird species including sea gulls.

Overall, the greenery looks richer and more vibrant.

You can rent a personal boat and the same can cost anywhere between INR 1000 to INR 1500.

Parra Road

Also, known as the Dear Zindagi Road, Parra Road looks especially lush in the monsoon. The iconic stretch of palm-lined road feels greener and more vibrant. Rain washes over the trees and deepens every shade of green. The road often glistens under soft, diffused light.

The usual tourist rush slows down here. The space feels quieter and more relaxed. The sound of rain and rustling palms takes over. It creates a calm and almost cinematic setting.

The surrounding fields and paths come alive after every shower. The air feels fresh and earthy. The entire stretch feels clean and refreshed.

Cafe's and Restaurants

Goa’s cafés, restaurants, and clubs take on a different charm in the monsoon. The pace slows down across the state. The focus shifts to cozy corners, warm lights, and relaxed evenings. Rain sets the mood for everything.

Clubs stay open but feel less intense. The energy softens and becomes more laid-back. Music continues, but the vibe feels relaxed. Rainy nights add a unique charm to the experience.

Here are some cafés and clubs that stand out across Goa, each offering a distinct experience:

a)Thalassa, Siolim – The space feels calmer during the day. The setting looks serene and open. The food tastes good but leans on the expensive side. It works well for a relaxed meal with a view.
