Singapore the second smallest country in Asia is a true wonder. Even though its a really small country (Only 276 square miles!!), it has so much to offer – Food, Culture, Flora & Fauna, stunning skyscrapers and what not.
In this blog I will take you to the 20 Best places that you should definitely visit on your Singapore trip. So lets begin…
Lets start with my favorite spot – The Gardens by the Bay. The Super Tree Groves are man made wonders which will literally take your breath away. The trees are free to enter and is one of the most visited attraction in the whole of Singapore. The light show happening at 7:45pm and 8:45pm everyday for 15 minutes is something you should definitely not miss.
I would highly recommend checking out this place during the day and night as well. While you are there you can also checkout the OCBC Skywalk which costs SGD 10/- The view is definitely worth it.
You must be wondering what’s so special about a hotel, but then before I tell you why you should visit it, check out the image below –
Adorned with the world’s highest infinity pool, staying at the Marina Bay Sands is truly a perk. But, given that it is on the pricier side, instead of staying at the hotel you can visit it to experience its grandeur. Book a lunch or dinner at the roof top restaurant C’est La Vie and enjoy the perfect meal. You can also visit the observatory deck at the Top to 360 degree views of the entire city.
The Merlion Park is one of the prime attractions in Singapore which overlooks the Marina Bay. The Merlion is an iconic piece of statue, having the head of a lion and body of a fish. The lion spouts water from its mouth which makes for a great picture.
This place gets super crowded during the day and lights up in the evening. If you have enough time in your hands I would highly recommend checking out this place during the day as well as night.
You must have seen the photo of this iconic indoor waterfall all over the internet and it deserves all the accolades it receives. The Jewel Changi is something you should definitely not miss on your visit to Singapore. The world’s highest indoor waterfall is surrounded by the Shiesdo forest which is a sight to behold. The Airport has so much to offer that you can spend an entire 24 hours here!
Timings – Jewel Changi opens at 10 am (Waterfall timings)
Located in the Kampong Glam District of Singapore, the Sultan Mosque is a must visit. With a massive golden dome and a huge prayer hall this is a prominent mosque in Singapore. You can find a bunch of cute cafes and shops around the mosque. On a clear sunny day the dome glistens and its a beautiful sight!
My entire Singapore series is already live on my Youtube. Start with this video!
The Singapore Flyer is the perfect attraction to get a 360 degree view of the city. Adorned with huge cabins, you can also book a dining experience here while spinning in the air. One whole round takes approximately 30 minutes and trust me the whole experience is worth remembering.
I personally went during the night time and saw the whole city illuminate.

The next attraction on the list is the Singapore Zoo, which is one of the most beautiful zoo’s you’ll ever see. The Zoo is highly interactive and certain areas are open for you to see the animals clearly doing their thing. The zoo is divided into a number of sections – Wild Africa, Australasia, Reptile Garden, Fragile forest and more.
The zoo is spread over a large area and can easily take 2-3 hours to explore. You can choose to walk or hop on the bus that runs through the zoo. Another option is to hire a scooty for SGD 20!

One thing you should never miss when in Singapore is to visit the various cultural hubs in the city. Haji Lane is one such neighborhood, famous for its cafe’s, street art and quirky stores.
Though the stores are on the expensive side, the collection here is fresh and different. Also, don’t miss out on sitting at some cute café to soak in the vibes of this vibrant street.
The temple houses the Tooth Relic of Buddha and was built during the Tang Dynasty. It is claimed that the relic of Buddha from which it gains its name was found in a collapsed stupa. The size of the tooth – measuring 7.5 cm – is also far too long for a human tooth. The relic can be viewed by the public at the 4th floor of the temple.
I would suggest taking out sometime to explore this place as the architecture is stunning!
Timings – 8 am to 5 pm
If you are a beach lover, then Sentosa Island at Singapore will leave you spellbound! The Sentosa Island consists of three beaches – Siloso Beach, Palawan Beach and Tanjong Beach.
Amongst the three, Siliso is the most favorite among tourists and consists of number of beach clubs. Personally, I enjoyed Tanjong the most as it’s the least crowded and really peaceful.
Entry to all beaches is free and if you go super early in the morning you can also find the beach completely empty.
If you are someone who loves theme parks and adrenaline pumping rides, then Universal Studios is that one place you should definitely visit in Singapore. The theme park can take an entire day (Timings 11 am to 6 pm) and there are a lot of attractions to choose from.
The attractions consist of Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Hollywood etc. The tickets are slightly on the pricier side but the experience is worth it.

The Art and Science is a one of a kind museum you should visit when in Singapore. My favorite exhibit from the museum is the Future world where you have interactive screens, crystal world and much more!
The tickets cost SGD 23 for non residents and SGD 20 for residents of Singapore. Senior citizen tickets cost SGD 18.
If you are someone who wants to see an amalgamation of art with science, then definitely head to this place.

Little India is a quaint neighborhood in the heart of Singapore, known for its vibrant street, lip smacking food and temples.
The street has some beautiful stores which sell gold jewelry, textiles and fresh flowers. Located nearby is the Mustafa center which is famous among locals for some cheap shopping. Trust me you can find anything and everything at this store!
From small eateries to Michelin Star restaurants, there are endless options to choose from.
One thing, that I thoroughly enjoy about Singapore is its greenery and the amount of parks it has. One such park which is Insta famous and flooded with tourists at all times is the Fort Canning Park. You can walk around, have a picnic or just chill here!
You must be wondering, what is a police station doing on this list? Trust me, this is one of the prettiest buildings in Singapore and something you should definitely visit if you love clicking pictures professionally or for your Instagram.
The best part about Singapore is its accessibility. You can walk anywhere easily and reach prime attractions around the Bay area within minutes. I would highly recommend walking on the Helix Bridge. Its a one of a kind construction piece in Singapore and is iconic.
Now, I know this is a little weird one on the list but, this Apple store is wild. This is the first “floating” apple store in the world and looks amazing from the inside and outside. You can admire the Singapore skyline from here while shopping!
The last time I went, entry was closed from outside but you can enter the store from the Marina Bay Sands Shopping Mall.
I hope you enjoyed this blog and my recommendations. Tell me which one of these places is your favorite in the comments sections below.
