Where will 2023 take you?
Its almost 7 months down in 2022, and I’ve started day dreaming about all the far-flung destinations and local hotspots I want to explore next year. I find the months of August-September to be the best time to start planning and curating a bucketlist for myself.
Just like last year’s bucketlist (check it out Here if you haven’t already), this year’s list has a mix of destinations in India and abroad.
I hope this bucketlist inspires you as much it inspires me. May we travel more in 2023 and explore the beauty this world has to offer.
Meghalaya a state located in North East India, is famous for its transparent rivers, crazy waterfalls and beautiful hikes. This state will amaze you in number of unimaginable ways.
Places to visit – Shillong, Mawlynnong (Cleanest village in Asia), Dawki River, Cherrapunjee, Silent Forest and much more!
Kashmir also known as Heaven on Earth needs no introduction! Though, I did get a glimpse of what Kashmir has to offer in the year 2022 but there is so much more to see. Here’s hoping that 2023 will be the year of an epic Kashmir adventure.
Places to visit – Aru valley, Betaab Valley, Pahalgam, Sonmarg, Gulmarg and a lot more!
Known as the “cold desert of Himachal Pradesh”, Spiti is one of those destinations which should definitely be on your bucketlist. The beautiful terrain and unimaginable views will take your breath away!
Places to visit – Pin Valley National Park, Hikkim Post office, Nako Village, Key Monastery and more.
An architectural marvel in India, Khajuraho is a UNESCO heritage located in Madhya Pradesh. It is considered as one of the “Seven wonders of India”. If you are a History buff, this place is for you. Spectacular and beyond beautiful.
Well Switzerland does not need any kind of introduction. One of the most romantic and surreal places in the world, Switzerland will blow your mind away. No matter where you look in Switzerland, you’ll be in awe of its beauty. Whether, you visit during the summer or the winter months, you’ll not be disappointed.
Places to visit – Interlaken, Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Matterhorn and the list goes on and on!
My love for Bali is unapparelled. This is a carry forward destination from my last year’s bucketlist and somewhere I urge you all to travel too! An exotic destination which has so much to offer – Mountains, beaches, rice fields to amazing sunsets.
Places to visit – Nusa islands, Ubud, Seminyak, Mount Batur, Lempuyang Temple Complex and more!
Singapore also known as the Lion City boasts a beautiful blend of Malaysian, Arab, Indian, Chinese and English cultures. While Singapore is a small country, there is so much to see and experience. Also, this place is super solo travel friendly and can definitely be done on a budget.
Places to see – Merlion, Ice cream Museum, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island and more.
