How to cure post travel withdrawals?

Our vacations are a reflection of what we feel or what we want to feel. While for some, a vacation is all about learning about themselves, exploring new places, learning the history of a place for others it’s an escape from the ‘real’ world.

Personally for me, my vacations are a reflection of who I want to be and what I want from my life. I know it sounds very cliched, but its true. Like many, even I suffer from what we call the “Post Vacay Withdrawals” or “Post Vacay Blues”.

Over the years, I have kind of mastered the art of dealing with the Post Vacay Blues. I know the feeling of it, so here are 5 tips which can help you battle that feeling!

Unpack!

This is one of the most effective way of battling the post vacay withdrawals. Decluttering our space has been proven to be an effective stress buster. Unpacking your suitcase immediately after a trip can not only help sort your things out but also relieve you from the mental stress one goes after a vacay is over!

Organize/Back-up photos

Another tip that absolutely works for me is organizing all my photos and videos. It helps me declutter my phone gallery, compartmentalize everything and also makes me feel like I am travelling virtually to the same place again.

Read Travel blogs/watch vlogs

Reading travel blogs and watching travel vlogs is the best way to recoup from post travel withdrawals. Nothing brings more joy then reading about new destinations and watching other people experiences. If you haven’t tried this tip then you definitely should.
