5 best video editing apps

With the launch of Instagram Reels and Tiktok surpassing the number of views on Youtube, it is clear that video is the future for all content creators.

While it does add to the pressure of creating a story line, concept and eventually presenting it as a beautiful video, the editing part seems as the most tedious job.

As a content creator, I do feel the pressure’s sometimes and it hampers my consistency a lot. In the past few years, I have experimented with quite a few editing apps. And its safe to say that I have chosen my top 5 favorite.

Inshot

The most famous and probably one of the easiest app has to be Inshot. Available both for Android and Apple, this app is loaded with some kickass transitions, text overlays and filters.

If you are a beginner then the free version is best for you. You will get access to basic transitions and unlock various different font styles. If you are a pro then investing in the paid/premium option is a good idea.

Final Cut Pro

The most loved video editing software, the Final Cut Pro is a professional software used by Youtubers around the world. The software is laced with some advanced features such as animated and easily customisable 3D titles, apply superellipse Shape mask to any clip, batch share to export multiple projects to multiple formats and so much more.

If you are looking to invest in an advanced software you should definitely purchase this software. The software costs around INR 25,000, but its a one time investment and you will  not regret it.

VN Video Editor

Another app that you both beginners and professionals can try out is the VN app. This is a professional app laced with some exciting features. The app is laced with amazing features like multilayer timeline, curve speed, mask, avatar as a clip creator and a lot more.

VN also has a desktop version. There are no in-app purchases and is a completely free app to use.

Adobe Premiere Rush

Premiere rush is a video editing app primarily focused on Youtubers and social media users. An app loved not only by amateurs but also professional videographers. The app offers easy editing and video effects. The app also provides access to built-in animated graphics such as titles and overlays.

The app also has Built-in professional camera functionality lets you capture high-quality content right from the app and start video editing immediately.

One of the best features is its integration with the adobe premiere pro. The only con of this app is that you can use the full version post subscription.

Vita

A simple and easy to use editing app, Vita can be your starting step if you have just entered the world of editing.

The app is laced with ready made templates, filters, effects and some inbuilt music effects. The app also has some cool transition effects which can make your videos more cinematic.

The app is completely free with no in-app purchases and you can even remove the Vita watermark.

So there you go, my top 5 video editing apps. If you ask me – what’s my fav app? I would say Inshot. I would highly recommend you all to check these apps out.
